MP Aiden Burley sorry for 'Nazi' stag party guest photos
A Staffordshire MP has apologised for the "inappropriate behaviour" of fellow guests he was with on a stag party in France.
Aidan Burley was pictured in a national newspaper with another man who was dressed as a Nazi.
The Cannock Chase MP was with a group of men, some of whom were allegedly taking part in offensive chants.
Mr Burley said in a statement he "deeply regretted" what had happened and was sorry for any offence caused.
He also tweeted an apology following the article in the Mail on Sunday, which said the alleged incident had happened at a French ski resort earlier this month.
The statement, released through the Conservative Central Office, said: "There was clearly inappropriate behaviour by some of the other guests and I deeply regret that this happened. I am extremely sorry for any offence that will undoubtedly have been caused."
A Conservative Party spokesman confirmed there would be a full investigation into what had happened.
Mr Burley was appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) in October to Justine Greening, the Secretary of State for Transport.
