Summary
Due to the way people write on the internet, you would most likely see somebody type in the words "everyone" and "no one" more often than you would see "everybody" and "nobody." If you were to see somebody mope around about how no one likes them, simply assume that they mistyped Peter Noone's last name and that they were really bragging about how a famous singer-songwriter likes them. While it may be just as annoying, you can at least be happy for them knowing that one person in the world still puts up with them.
Origins
While Peter Noone himself was born in Davyhulme, Manchester on November 5th, 1947, the exact date that people started substituting "no one" with "Noone" to taunt the taunted even further is unknown.
Current status
Even though there was no noticeable spike in memetic use of the Peter Noone response (thus it has been in a low but steady use for nearly all the time it has existed), Peter Noone himself is still going on tour with the other members of Herman's Hermits. The most likely reason for this is that not everybody is aware of Peter Noone so not everybody can instinctively provide the proper response to someone wallowing in their own sadness.
