HACKS & ATTACKS: Lulz! Paste & Scrape? HIPAA SSA and email my father sent from Munich, Germany

SUPPORT THE MENTALLY CHALLENGED. #JADED SECURITY WILL DONATE $1.00 for each shirt @ElyssaD Shirt Sold

I’m not really sure what her infatuation is with my piece on Joseph K Black or care enough to look at if there is any affiliation. She either has some serious problems or BlackBerg Security Sucks at background checks too.
The websites (not that I dug deep, cause I don’t care enough to)
www.thepowersthatbeat.blogspot.com/
http://posterous.com/people/5ewYgzxPVmnL
http://sanityforsuperheroes.blogspot.com/
http://information4sale.blogspot.com
From this photo ID posted on her Picasa, you would probably assume she might have some emotional problems. Why else would she post a photo id of herself with her social security number clearly on the front (Notice my Blur Skillz). As a Security Professional, I just can’t bring myself to post it on my site.
Elyssa before you go blabbing I hacked your blah blah blah. The original and much much more can be found on your own Picasa site

It also seems that you might have some emotional issues, as a quick check to validate the number listed on your ID pulled up what appears to be something officially describing your situation. Please Go away now! Thanks

What I cant understand is how transparent it is. I mean, its one thing trying to sockpuppet / astro-turf whatever, but at least have the decency to do it sensibly.
This just smacks of epic fail and if I didnt already think the organisation was nothing but a huge scam / cluess enterprise / both, then I would now.
I really, really, really hope they are not making any money. It makes me want to cry when I think about the hard work and skill I put into meeting client requirements….

To be honest, my initial suspicion is that they are the same person….
Obvious mental health issues, obvious support of a charlatan (as described by Attrition…) etc…
I’d be tempted to bet a shiny new 5p coin on them being the same person.

UMMMMM..... Paid Disinfo Agent “Ken Doc”.9/11 characters get protected by 9/11 fame seekers | FIRETOWN

With an open mind I have published Let’s Roll Forums: “William Rodriguez – Last Man Out: Discovered a Fraud” and was quite undecided until William Rodriguez, the alleged 9/11 hero replied with the same IP using a different name alleging Phil Jayhan was arrested with a minor.
From that moment on, William Rodriguez stopped replying so when I saw a discussion on a mutual friend’s thread on Facebook, I have decided to ask him the following:

As you can see, it took over 24 hours for William to reply and then my comment was removed by Ken Doc who also runs a large group on Facebook and he defriended me making it impossible to reply further:

In private, Ken acknowledges how William Rodriguez changes his story:

But in public he protects him:

A gatekeeper is a person who controls access to something, for example via a city gate. In the late 20th century the term came into metaphorical use, referring to individuals who decide whether a given message will be distributed by a mass medium.
Wiki

Ken Doc will never go against the bigger names. He will enjoy a role as a truth seeker in the eyes of many and the fact that he backs William Rodriguez shows me he will likely move up.

This is an example of how facts are being blocked.

Any questions?

Well you have no reason to publish private communication without permission. You lost my respect. Of course, this will not be published, correct?

  2. firetown

As I have just posted in my Facebook group:

The problem on Facebook is that most of the people who are in some sort of truth leadership position, are hungry for fame and will protect shills knowing that’s their way to the bank:

    Mitchell Launes Ford likes this.
Michael Dammann and yes, i did publish his private message to me, and no: do not trust me. If you protect shills that is.

  3. Gaddafi

Well it seem you have the same problem, judging by the photos on your profile on FB. You seem to like to be “famous”. No, I do not trust you or anybody else for that matter. You may be the biggest shill here for all I know. Keeping screen caps of this in case is not published ( I learned from you!).

  4. firetown

How about you go ahead and ask William the question I did if you claim to seek truth.

  5. Brian Good

People are afraid to challenge Willie because he and his supporters libel those who do. They are also reluctant to be perceived as making an ugly personal attack on one of our own.

It is not a personal attack to call someone out for his lies. And how can someone claim to be one of us in the truth movement when his status is based on lies and fraud?

Many of those in the movement who know Willie is a liar go easy on him, minimizing the importance of his discrediting behavior and rationalizing their conflict-avoidance as service to movement unity. Willie’s very corrupting effect on the movement’s integrity may have done more damage to us than his degrading of our credibility has.

  6. ElenQ

@Brian Good, aren’t you the alledge famous sex stalker in Love with Rodriguez? Sorry for asking, but doesn’t most of the real leaders of the 9/11 movement wants nothing to do with you? I did google your name and was surprised! So your attacks on others have no validity with me. You should learn to respect women and for that matter, married ones! I guess everybody is saving screen shots saved here!

  7. firetown

Who are the real leaders? Alex Jones? Also: Please post a link to the proof of any allegation you make towards people in here.

  8. Brian Good

ElenQ, I have humiliated Dr. Barrett many times–even on his own blog–by exposing his lies, incompetent scholarship, juvenile sense of humor, blatant bigotry, faulty logic, and irresponsible violence-fetish.

Since he can’t refute me using real facts, he tries to discredit me with invented claims. In Barrett’s last TV interview (I hope it’s his last, and very likely it will be) on 9/11/09 for Russia Today he lied four times in the first four minutes. Allegations are easily made, and once made, difficult to retract. I was thus very slow to accuse William Rodriguez of lying, and didn’t do so until I could prove it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Barrett admit he was wrong, ever, and I don’t expect I ever will.

The ones who need to learn to respect women are the narcissistic, pathological liars Barrett and Rodriguez, who have done enormous damage to the credibility of the truth movement and who, when called on it, lie, and hide behind the skirts of a woman.

“and BTW, it’s screenshots like this which prove you are not to be trusted by anyone.”

I cannot be trusted by people who have no character and protect potential frauds. I can also not be trusted by two faces who mislead the public intentionally.

Very common comment from the Alex Jones type crew. Give an example or be happy with the check you cash.

So now you are saying “potential”. Get over yourself loser. You said you had proof that William is a NWO shill. Now you are saying “potential”. You are the only fraud here.

Now as for disinfo all over your site…….

There is a difference between making a mistake and misleading people intentionally, Ken. I have made a mistake and it’s evident from the screenshots above that you have been misleading your followers fully knowing and 100% intentionally.

    A “real truther”?

You are a clown, Ken and you got caught with your pants down. Deal with it. Nobody reading this will ever look at you the same.

You are calling yourself a TRUTHer when it’s proven now that you think one thing and say the opposite? Wow, I sure hope they’re paying you well.

Otherwise this would make you one hell of a gutless worm.

The funny thing is I was trying to talk with you back then, but you defriended me to protect William. You and people like you are the reason why it is so easy for celebrities to lie to people. You are the voluntary gate keeper.

Added: In the past few days, “Ken Doc” has created several aliases in order to flood this post with attacks while avoiding responses towards his public outing as a spineless fraud as proven in this post. If you wish to talk about this, please pass on the information to your friends to help them become aware of his lack of trustworthiness.

The commenting section is now closed. If you want to get deeper into this subject, put him on the spot on his profile and ask him why he wants to protect someone else’s lies while claiming to be a truth seeker and why he promotes We Are Change and encourages people following heroes and submitting themselves to the program of an organization rather than standing up on their own.

My work is done. Go get him :)

  15. Anon

“Nobody reading this will ever look at you the same.”

You have no clue do you. I can;t wait for Chris to give me the audio from last night so I can post it for everyone to hear!

I am the one with nothing to hide, you are. You proved that by ducking from the show and blaming it that your computer crashed while you were still making posts on FB.

“The funny thing is I was trying to talk with you back then, but you defriended me to protect William..”
Who are you and how did you get on my list to begin with? I am very close with a large portion on my list. You have never contacted me before this at all. The day I added William was the day you started attacking me! You are the one accusing people of being NWO shills with ZERO evidence.

Anyways, your days are up. You have been exposed as a disinfo agent. How? by continuing to post misleading links and articles on this site!

Helicopter shot of the missile…… Who are you kidding? The “missile” didn;t even hit the same spot. LOL

  16. firetown

“I am the one with nothing to hide, you are. ”

Although large sections of the security community will deny it if you ask them, they’re secretly enjoying watching LulzSec’s campaign of mayhem unfold.

So far the “hacker group” has penetrated systems owned by Sony, PBS, the “FBI affiliate site” Infragard, Black and Berg Cyberdefense, Unveillance and Nintendo, among others.

They’re posting proprietary developer code. They’re bringing back Tupac and Biggie. They’re advising Nintendo on more secure httpd configurations. And they’re issuing funny press releases via Twitter and Pastebin.

In the last few weeks these guys have picked up around 96,000 Twitter followers. That’s 20,000 more than when I looked yesterday. Twitter has given LulzSec a stage to show off on, and showing off they are.

The Internetz, largely, are loving it.

It might be surprising to external observers, but security professionals are also secretly getting a kick out of watching these guys go nuts.

I wrote my first article on information security around May 2001. It was about the Sadmind worm and it ran on the letters page of the IT section of The Age newspaper in Melbourne.

“Geez,” I thought to myself. “If awareness isn’t raised about the unsuitability of these computamajiggies for srs bizness, we could encounter some problems down the track.”

So for the last ten years I’ve been working in media, trying to raise awareness of the idea that maybe, just maybe, using insecure computers to hold your secrets, conduct your commerce and run your infrastructure is a shitty idea.

No one who mattered listened. Executives think it’s FUD. They honestly think that if they keep paying their annual AV subscriptions they’ll be shielded by Mr. Norton’s magic cloak.

Security types like LulzSec because they’re proving what a mess we’re in. They’re pointing at the elephant in the room and saying “LOOK AT THE GIGANTIC FUCKING ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM ZOMG WHY CAN’T YOU SEE IT??? ITS TRUNK IS IN YR COFFEE FFS!!!”

There is no security, there will be no security. The horse has bolted, and it’s not going to be the infrastructure that’s going to change, it’s going to be us.

LulzSec is running around pummelling some of the world’s most powerful organisations into the ground… for laughs! For lulz! For shits and giggles! Surely that tells you what you need to know about computer security: there isn’t any.

The mainstream media are having fun criticising Sony for its poor security, but do we honestly think for a second that the XBox Live network can’t be similarly pwnt? (I know the PSN breach hasn’t been pinned on LulzSec, but the point stands.) Is there any target out there that can’t be “gotten”?

State-sponsored attackers, likely Chinese, have even wormed their merry way through the networks of the US military industrial complex, buggering off with the blueprints for the next Lockheed Martin death-ray-lasermatron or similarly diabolical, geo-strategically altering super-weapon.

Yay! Human rights abusers with US-designed military technology! w00t w00t!

Thanks, RSA. <3

Don’t even get me started on them. As BlackHat organiser turned US Department of Homeland Security advisor Jeff Moss Tweeted yesterday, “When I heard RSA had a shiny new half million dollar HSM to store seed files I wondered where had they been stored before”.

We’re relying on these boneheads to lock down our most sensitive R&D? Shoot me now.

What about privacy? Oh, well that’s out the window too. Did you hear Facebook has facial recognition now? Great, huh? Plus the bloatware that is Facebook’s Web application is full of bugs anyway, so we really do just have to assume all our Facebook accounts are pwnt. Our telcos are owned, our mobile devices track us, as the iPhone/Android tracking scandal showed us. Privacy is dead.

So why do we like LulzSec?

“I told you so.”

That’s why.

http://www.blackandberg.com/?p=190

C'mon, people! It doesn't get much more obvious than this!

Inside job. This is bullshit! #jadedexposure (@jadedexposure) is in on the whole thing! As much I admire the crazy little squirrel dude at trition dot org I'm sad to admit, he too is in on the Lulz.

@JadedSecurity knows my e-mail and identity were compromised shortly after I began working with Black & Berg, yet he is selling T-shirts with my soc on it? Give me a fucking break.

Ligatt press release was faked, set up, framed, dismissed.

Adrian Lamo set up, framed, blamed on aspergers. Totally irrelevant.

Joseph Black "WE ARE LULZ. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Well no fucking shit! You could have told me before the whole world started hacking the shit out of every corner of the world wide web of deception.

This is a total set up, and I sick and tired of being exploited.

We all have vulnerabilities. At least I'm not profiting by exploiting yours!

PUT THESE PEOPLE IN PRISON!

That's my daily dose.

Just me,

@ElyssaD

Johnny Wong You rightly mention DLP is a PROGRAM, not a solution. A program's outcomes/objectives can be met by one or many solutions. I think Data Classification itself should be classified as a program; because this is something that should not be taken lightly. And I think enterprises should start small, take baby steps. Identify a business unit that handle sensitive data, for example, HR. Start from there and determine the kind of data it handles, what classification, the "in use, in store, in transit" data states, understand the end-to-end flow of data, consider areas or choke points where data seems the most vulnerable... and so on. It is good we have like-minded folks here :)

European Cybercrime 10 Years On - Why It’s Not Working

Recently at the 10th anniversary of the Budapest Convention against cybercrimeCecilia Malmström(Member of the European Commission responsible for Home Affairs) spoke of the need for Europe to “take stock of the new challenges, as the threat is very much a real one.”

The address then went on to mention that “much had been achieved” by the European Cyber Crime units, and proceeded to discuss items such as recent attacks against carbon trading systems, and a wider attack on EC email systems (which had also left Malmström without email on a recent trip to Cairo).

As we all know living in cyberspace and using the international highways of the internet for our daily business and leisure commutes, the threats are ever changing and as stated in the address “the number of cyber attacks in the world is on the rise, and the cost of cybercrime is skyrocketing.” (International Cybercrime markets are rumored to be worth anywhere from US $500billion to $1Trillion per annum) - lucrative business to say the least!

Another aspect which was highlighted (and one which I feel is often overlooked) was that of “EU institutions are far from immune” - something that I feel is often dismissed or paid little attention too (why should it be entirely up to the United States to deal with all international cybercrime?).

So much is made of the “cyber war” currently raging between the United States, China, Russia (and some of the other international superpowers); with little, to no attention being given to the European aspect and more importantly the EU impacts on international cybercrime.

The recent economic growths throughout Europe (bank bailouts aside), upgrades to infrastructure, communications, and internet speeds, coupled with the reduced costs of equipment required for cyber criminals to operate (or establish their operations), has greatly assisted these groups and cartels in their mission.

Now, introduce a “patchwork” European Cybercrime framework and laws to which 10 European (EU member states) countries have not yet agreed to, and or ratified, and you have a haven for cybercriminals and terrorists to exist (one would liken it to a Las Vegas environment during the prohibition; where drinking and gambling were allowed to operate without fear of capture or imprisonment).

Let me take a second to explain the relationship between the European Union member states, and those who are currently aligned and enforcing the EU’s Cyber Crime Pact.

At present twenty seven (27) member states make up the European Union, which includes Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemborg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

In order to become a member of the EU, you need to undertake the privileges and obligations that EU membership entails and abide by the relevant laws or pacts passed by the European Union (amongst numerous other obligations).

Right - time for facts and let’s take a look at how many of these twenty seven (27) member states have agreed and ratified the European Cyber Crime Pact (after 10 years!). Currently, ten (10) of twenty seven (27) countries have yet to ratify the European Cyber Crime Pact! Yes - you read that correctly, just under 40% of the EU member states have not signed up to the European Cyber Crime Pact. Pretty difficult to enforce and proceed with efforts when nearly 40% of your members have yet to outline their commitments!

In the address Cecilia Malmströmsaid she hoped (yes - that’s right, “hoped”) Belgium and the United Kingdom would sign up soon, which still leaves Austria, Czech Republic, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland and Sweden as the countries who have yet to sign (for whatever reasons). Malmström then urged all of these countries to speed up their efforts.

With the upcoming formation of a European Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) to be established by the end of May 2011 and the call for co-operation between the United States and the EU on Cybercrime, this might perhaps lessen (or possibly even increase!) the current work levels of Europol (the European Police) and InterPol (the world’s largest international police organization) in supporting member states in these areas.

In conclusion, Malmström said she was “open to ideas about the need for better training” which will include a European Cybercrime Centre by 2013 (talk about playing catch up to those cybercriminals who would have been operating for a number of years!). Malmström said there would be a feasibility study next year (2012) to decide what it should do and where it should be based.

In my opinion, the logical choice for this would be in Dublin, Ireland. I have witnessed some of the leading international efforts by the law enforcement bodies and Educational Institutes to deal and lead efforts on these fronts which include the UCD Centre for Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Investigation (which is currently Europe’s leading centre for research and education in cybersecurity, cybercrime and digital forensics). That is of course if Ireland would sign the European Cyber Crime Pact!

On a positive note: it is worth noting and applauding the efforts of ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency) who are coordinating and assisting (where possible!) the local CERT teams within the member nations, and the efforts of EuroPol and InterPol to assist local law enforcement in these areas.

Finally, let’s take a look at Europe vs United States on Cybercrime legislation and enforcement; and how Europe can perhaps learn from our friends across the water.

Within the European Commission, Vice-President Kroes is responsible for cyber-security and Commissioner Malmström for tackling cyberccrime. Within the United States, the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of State, Department of Commerce and other federal entities collaborate to help strengthen cyber-security and fight cybercrime (a far more comprehensive viewpoint and coverage from our friends in the United States I feel, with a number of dedicated departments and entities responsible for this!).

The proposed efforts from Europe include the following:

  • expanding incident management response capabilities jointly and globally, through a cooperation programme culminating in a joint EU-US cyber-incident exercise by the end of 2011
  • a broad commitment to engage the private sector, sharing of good practices on collaboration with industry, and pursuing specific engagement on key issue areas such as fighting botnets, securing industrial control systems (such as water treatment and power generation), and enhancing the resilience and stability of the Internet
  • continuing EU/US cooperation to remove child pornography from the Internet, including through work with domain-name registrars and registries
  • advancing the Council of Europe Convention on Cybercrime, including a programme to expand accession by all EU Member States, and collaboration to assist states outside the region in meeting its standards and become parties.

Commissioner Malmström has emphasized that co-operation with the United States with vital to the fight against online crime (this goes without saying). On a personal note - I do perhaps feel that the United States has enough on its plate at the moment, and Europe simply cannot afford wait for the US to guide or assist us through all these steps. While lessons learnt from the US could be invaluable - I do feel Europe has to take the direct route, roll up their sleeves and ensure efforts for Cybercrime detection, prevention, and reduction happen sooner, rather than later.
